This is a 1980’s vintage sleeveless pleated summer mini dress by Elle Paris, comfortable, easy-wear and elegant for the hottest days of the year. It is made of a red and white floral polyester fabric, and is lined. The skirt is pleated from the waist down, and doesn’t require ironing. The dress opens with a long zipper on the back. Sleeveless pink tweed fitted midi dress with velvet ribbon

 

This little pink beauty doesn’t come with any label but is likely to be Japanese handmade. It is vintage made perfection. The tweed fabric uses shades of pink, brown, orange, cream. The neckline is softly squared. The velvet ribbon is sewn on and elegantly enhances the waistline. The dress is lined and opens with a zipper on the back. Stunning in all seasons!

Wool and velvet rosewood halter top

 

I’m very excited to show you one of the finds of the weekend because it’s absolutely gorgeous. If I was a few years (OK, make it twenty) younger I would love to wear this halter top. The combination of fabrics works wonders here. The bra part is made of a woven wool mixture with an interesting texture showing hints of red, pink, yellow, green, brown. The bodice and the straps are made of a rosewood colour velvet with black floral print. The back line is lightly elasticated.
This halter top will fit smaller busts.

Blue and brown embroidered strap dress

This very elegant vintage handmade strap dress is perfect for a summer party. The beautifully textured fabric feels like a cotton/polyester or a cotton/silk blend, with brown embroideries. It is lined. The dress has a fitted bodice with a more ample, calf length skirt. It opens with a zipper at the back. The right side of the skirt shows an array of four (decorative) buttons, giving the illusion of a side slit.

Vibrant red floral pattern tunic mini dress

This exuberant floral tunic comes in straight from the Japanese 90’s and was designed by apart by lowrys. It is made of a thick polyester fabric, easy of care and almost impossible to wrinkle. Its line is anti-50’s style, with the waist being wider than the bust and the hips, and a tapered hemline. The contrasting black zipper on the back of the dress gives it a special finish. Volume is created by the pleats smoothly falling from the shoulders. Arm opening is wide. There is a pocket on each side of the dress. Length is above knees.

Lanz mini dress with green and blue honeycomb

 

This stunning early 60’s sleeveless mini dress is probably an American import according to the manufacturer’s label, in flawless vintage condition. It is made of at least two layers of thick cotton fabric, padded and sewn so as to convey an interesting honeycomb texture to the dress. It is ideal for winter time. The dress opens with a long zipper along the back, the metallic buttons in the front are decorative. The unique belt held together with a navy blue cotton cord makes this dress a true fashion item. The neckline has a beautiful smoothly rounded shape. This dress has a fitted line that will look great on a slender body type.

Very light very mini sleeveless dress with pink novelty print

 

This very sexy mini summer dress must have been the star of the Japanese 70’s. It is made of an extremely light viscose crepe fabric with a fragile silky feel, delicate and easy to wrinkle, sheer when seen a against the light. It was tailor made and hand sewn, with the fabric manufacturer’s label (Reimon d’or Original Print) running along all the back of the dress on the inside. The clumsy looking seamwork on the inside of the dress makes it a true collectable!

Sleeveless cream lace dress with black Buta pattern and brink pink speckles

 

This is a stunning 60’s sleeveless lace dress, cream colour with black Buta pattern and pink speckles. It was tailor made, hand sewn and fully lined (the name of the owner is sewn with yellow thread on the lining in the back of the neck). It is a tight fit and designed to show off shoulders and soft curves. Zipper on the back.

Condition: Excellent. The lining is yellowed by age but this only makes it a better vintage item.
